I’ve been moving my body since I was a little girl—ballet slippers, gymnastics mats, and a deep love for expression. In college, I found modern dance and started choreographing to Pink Floyd and Ministry—moody, raw, and a little rebellious.

Then salsa found me… and everything changed.

One night at an outdoor salsa event in Los Angeles—thanks to my mom—I got pulled into a rhythm that hasn’t let me go for 25 years. It became my obsession, my edge, my release. I joined a salsa team, pushed past every comfort zone, and discovered a whole new side of myself—bold, magnetic, and fully alive.

Salsa isn’t just something I do.
It’s the love of my life—and you can feel it in every step.

Playful. Powerful. Passionate.

Welcome! I’m Sharon. When I’m dancing I feel effortless confidence—playful, feminine, and fully in my body. Not performing… just enjoying myself and inviting you join in!

Spinning, high kicking, and dipping with my salsa dance partner Reef Karim. Choreo by Liz Lira and Zweli Barton

While I love performing on a stage, my favorite is street salsa. In the moment, improvised, and wild!

Life is a blur when you are always spinning. I’ve enjoyed dancing in the best salsa clubs, outdoor Summer events, Salsa Congresses, and even at elementary schools and corporations. I have taught beginner classes to little kids for their DARE to say no to drugs and yes to dancing. Company employees had a chance to shake the sitting out of their seats during a lunchtime salsa class with me.

My hips shake and my shoulders shimmy to the rhythm of the music as it moves through me—every beat waking something electric, playful, and a little wild. In those moments, I’m not thinking, I’m feeling—free, alive, and completely turned on by the joy of expression, letting my body speak in ways words never could.
